I wanted to collect information

I wanted to collect information regarding the narrator Ikhrimah, about all the tadeel and jarah regarding him, Since I came to know that there is jarah on him from a minority and a majority made tadeel of him....

Here is a narration from Sa'id b. Musayyab cursing Ikrimah:

هِشَامُبنُسَعْدٍعَنْعَطَاءٍالخُرَاسَانِيِّ،قَالَ:
قُلْتُلِسَعِيْدِبنِالمُسَيِّبِإِنَّعِكْرِمَةَيَزْعُمُأَنَّرَسُوْلَاللهِ -صَلَّىاللَّهُعَلَيْهِوَسَلَّمَتَزَوَّجَمَيْمُوْنَةَوَهُوَمُحْرِمٌ (2) .
فَقَالَكَذَبَمَخْبَثَانُ (3) ،اذْهَبْإِلَيْهِ،فَسُبَّهُ،سَأُحَدِّثِكُم:
قَدِمَرَسُوْلُاللهِ -صَلَّىاللَّهُعَلَيْهِوَسَلَّمَوَهُوَمُحْرِمٌ،فَلَمَّاحَلَّ،تَزَوَّجَهَا.
وَقَالَشُعْبَةُعَنْعَمْرِوبنِمُرَّةَ:
سَأَلَرَجُلٌسَعِيْدَبنَالمُسَيِّبِعَنْآيَةٍ،

However, the hadith he narrated is correct, many others narrated it from ibn Abbas. It was ibn Abbas that made the mistake, not Ikrimah. Incidents like this were likely the reason that Sa'id turned against Ikrimah. Anyhow, it is known that Sa'id was the most revered of the Tabi'in and it is not surprising that some Tabi'in might be influenced by his view or believed some of the things falsely reported about him.

Here's an example of Sa'id making takdhib of Ikrimah:

However, what he said is his opinion, and therefore not anything that would involve lying. What is more, the same opinion is reported from Hasan. Anyhow, Sa'id most likely intended 'kadhib' meaning error, not deliberate falsehood.

Now at the same time that there are weak reports from Ayyub that he criticized Ikrimah, there are authentic reports of praise as well.

However, cutting to the chase, the following is from Mizan al-It'idal:

أيوب،عنعمروبندينار،قالرفعإلىجابربنزيدمسائلأسألعنهاعكرمة،فجعلجابربنزيديقولهذامولىابنعباس،هذاالبحرفسلوه.
سفيانعنعمرو،قالأعطانيجابربنزيدصحيفةفيهامسائل،فقالسلعنهاعكرمة،فجعلتكأنىأتباطأ،فانتزعهامنيدىفقالهذاعكرمةمولىابنعباس،هذاأعلمالناس

Jabir b. Zayd Abul-Sha'tha is one of the famous students of ibn Abbas, and look at how he praises Ikrimah.

Sa'id b. Jubayr, another student of ibn Abbas, praising him:

نعيمبنحماد،حدثناجرير،عنمغيرة،قيللسعيدبنجبيرهلتعلمأنأحداأعلممنك؟قالنعم،عكرمة.

Ayyub praising him:

حمادبنزيد،قيللابيأيوبأكانعكرمةيتهم؟فسكتساعة / ثمقالأماأنافلمأكنأتهمه.

Al-Sha'bi, yet another student of ibn Abbas, praising his knowledge of Tafsir:
إسماعيلبنأبىخالد،سمعتالشعبىيقولمابقىأحدأعلمبكتاباللهمنعكرمة.

What's more, on top of all that, he married Sa'id b. Jubayr's mother during Sa'id's lifetime.

Most importantly, in spite of all the criticism that seems to have circulated about him, innumerable people came to learn hadith from him, amongst them Imams. They clearly did not accept the claims of him being a liar.

Also, you should look at his biographical entry in al-Jarh wal-Ta'dil of ibn Abi Hatim. It is ibn Abi Hatim's methodology that when there are numerous riwayat of Jarh wal-Ta'dil from a given person, he chooses only the one that he considers the most authentic. He has mentioned ibn Abbas' own praise for Ikrimah, as well as Ayyub's praise, and dropped any disparaging narrations.

Ibn Abbas held a number of shadh views besides this one that the scholars afterwards rejected. It is entirely possible that Sa'id heard narrations such as this from Ikrimah, which he did not hear from other students of ibn Abbas, although they have reported them, and therefore came to a negative view of him.

In any case, why did Tawus take his son to learn hadith from him? Ayyub was well aware of the accusations against Ikrimah, and yet he rejected them and learned hadith from him? Why?

نعيمبنحماد،حدثناجرير،عنمغيرة،قيللسعيدبنجبيرهلتعلمأنأحداأعلممنك؟قالنعم،عكرمة

Translation: Do you aware of anyone more knowledgable than yourself? He said: Yes Ikrimah.

Admitting to the surpemecy of knowledge of an individual does not automatically NEGATE his (others) vices and defects...

Further elaboration: I can also testify that Ikrimah is more learned than myself...but that does not mean that I do not consider him to be a liar!

Somebody asked Sa'id who is more knowledgeable than himself. The only person he could think to name was a LIAR(if he was) . It

P.S. Ikrimah was married to Sa'id's mother. Do you think Sa'id approved of his mother marrying a liar?
this is sufficient to prove that hadees of ikhrimah doesnt make it weak and what ever critsism is there against him is weak.
